Take the Commit to Fit Gold Medal Challenge

Commit to a fit lifestyle by going for the gold! Log miles between Monday, Sept. 17, and Friday, Oct. 19, on University Recreation treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, in a group cycle class, or outside.

Register in the Donna Axum or UREC Fitness Centers today and start logging your miles! Boxes to log miles will be available in Donna Axum Fitness Center located in the HPER building, the UREC Fitness Center located in the AR Union, the Outdoor Connection Center, HPER 102, or HPER 220 following group cycle classes.

The following prizes will be awarded to those who reach 50 miles, 100 miles, and finish the challenge:

  • 50 miles (bronze): UREC Stress Reliever
  • 100 miles (silver): UREC Hand Towel
  • 150 miles (gold): Gold Medal Challenge T-shirt

Jump start your Commit to Fit miles by adding some activity to your workday or class schedule with a 30-minute campus walk led by University Recreation staff. Walks will depart from the UREC Fitness Center in the Arkansas Union at 12:15 p.m. beginning Tuesday, Sept. 18, through Tuesday, Oct. 9.

Walks will stay on campus and take advantage of the beautiful Northwest Arkansas fall weather. Snacks and water will be available. There is no cost to join and no registration process.
