LGBT History Month Panel

In recognition of October as LGBT History Month, the Employee Development Program is sponsoring a panel for which panelists will discuss some of the history of gays and lesbians in our culture on Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 9:30 a.m. noon in the Arkansas Union, Room 503.

LGBT History Month was established almost 20 years ago to remember and recognize the moments, milestones and individuals who have led the movement for LGBT equality. In this panel, various social, political, historical, and personal experiences will be addressed by academic professors, advocates of the campus LGBT Employee Resource Group, and members of the LGBT community.

The discussion will include time for questions from the audience. This session will benefit any employee who wants to help promote diversity on campus, and it will meet the Sexual Orientation requirement for the Diversity Certificate Program. If you are interested in attending, please sign up online.
