Associated Student Government Announces Top 10 Homecoming Court Candidates

The Top 10 Homecoming Court Candidates have been selected by the campus-wide Homecoming Court Selection Committee. Homecoming Court represents school spirit and pride for the University of Arkansas and is one of the oldest and most storied traditions. Homecoming Court is open to all University of Arkansas women who were nominated by a registered student organization.

The top 10 candidates will interview again on Oct. 16-17. The five selected members of the 2012 Homecoming Court will then vie for Homecoming Queen. Elections for Homecoming Queen will be held between Monday, Oct. 29, at 9 a.m. and Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 4 p.m. through vote.uark.edu. Homecoming Queen will be announced at the Homecoming Pep Rally on Friday, Nov. 2.

Homecoming Court members will participate in the Homecoming Parade, Homecoming Pre-game and other events during Homecoming week (Sunday, Oct. 28, through Saturday, Nov. 3). The full court will be presented during the football game halftime show.

The Top 10 Homecoming Court Candidates, along with their majors and sponsoring organizations, are:

  • Caitlin Lamb, senior - economics and political science, Arkansas Booster Club and Sigma Alpha Epsilon
  • Kelly Lamb, senior - economics and political science, Chi Omega
  • Sophie LeBlanc, senior - supply chain management, Delta Delta Delta
  • Tracy Neal, graduate student - community health promotion, Miss University of Arkansas
  • Leah Nichols, senior - journalism, advertising and PR, National Panhellenic Council and Interfraternity Council
  • Tori Pohlner, senior - communication, Lambda Chi Alpha
  • Madison Taylor, senior - psychology, Students for Free Tibet
  • Natalie Van Pelt, senior - marketing management, Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI)
  • Katie Waldrip, senior - dietetics and hospitality management, Hospitality Club
  • Kristen Zachary, senior - marketing and communication, Beta Gamma Sigma
