Arkansas Poll to Be Released Today

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The 14th annual Arkansas Poll will be released Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 8:00 a.m. Central time.

This year’s poll surveyed Arkansans about presidential preferences, approval of elected officials and support for the two upcoming ballot measures, the boost in state sales tax to fund road construction and the legalization of the medical use of marijuana. As in previous years, the poll asked about social concerns, such as gay marriage and government policy toward undocumented immigrants. This year, the poll also posed questions about the future of Medicaid and access to higher education in Arkansas by high school graduates who are not here legally.

A full summary report of the 2012 poll results and data from past Arkansas Polls will be available at 8 a.m. Wednesday at http://www.uark.edu/depts/plscinfo/partners/arkpoll.php.
