Open Enrollment Deadline!

Don’t forget to finish enrolling in Health, Dental, Vision and Flexible Spending Account by Friday, Nov. 30, to ensure you have your new UMR cards by Jan. 1, 2013.

The final deadline for open enrollment is Dec. 7, 2012, but with the change in health plan administrators, all employees are advised to complete all enrollments/changes by Nov. 30 to guarantee that you will have your new UMR ID cards or your new Flexible Spending Benefit card before Jan. 1, 2013. If you enroll or change anything after Nov. 30, there is no guarantee that you will receive your cards before January 1, 2013.

During this Open Enrollment Period, you can:

  • Enroll in Flexible Spending Accounts (Health Care Reimbursement and Dependent Care Reimbursement). You are required to enroll every calendar year if you wish to participate in flexible spending.
  • Enroll in health, dental or vision coverage.
  • Add or delete dependents from your health, dental, or vision plans.
  • Change your health care elections between the Classic Plan and the Point of Service Plan
  • Change your vision insurance election between the Basic and the Enhanced Plans
  • Cancel your health, dental, or vision plans
  • Change the status of health, dental, and vision premiums from after-tax to pre-tax or pre-tax to after-tax.

If you do not want to change your health, dental or vision insurance, you do nothing; your current coverage will transfer to the new year.

For a quick and easy enrollment process, try enrolling online via webBASIS. Enrollment instructions and additional information is available for you from the Open Enrollment section of Human Resources website or from the Benefits Section of Human Resources, 221 ADMN or 479-575-2167.

If you prefer to complete a paper enrollment form rather than enrolling via webBASIS, you can get the enrollment forms from the Open Enrollment section of HR’s web site or from the Benefits Section of Human Resources.
