Nineteenth Annual Game for Life Blood Drive Set for This Week

The 19th annual Game for Life Blood Drive is Community Blood Center of the Ozarks’ largest Arkansas area blood drive, celebrating both Razorbacks basketball and the lifesaving efforts of area blood donors from Monday, Feb. 4 through Friday, Feb. 8.

This year, Arkansas fans will compete for the most blood donors with fans representing the University of Tennessee and MEDIC Blood Center. The Hogs will have the chance to beat the Vols on the court and then in the blood drive as well.

Each participant at any Game for Life drive will receive a custom red event T-shirt with the Razorback logo. Participants will also receive free pizza from Papa John’s.

To donate blood, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old (16-year-olds need written parental permission to donate)
  • Weigh at least 110 pounds
  • Be feeling well and healthy at the time of your donation.

This year’s Game for Life sites and schedule include:

Springdale Donor Center - 3503 S. Thompson
Dates/Hours: Monday thru Friday, Feb. 4-8
Open Monday thru Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bentonville Donor Center - 1400 SE Walton Blvd.
Dates/Hours: Monday thru Friday, Feb. 4-8
Open Monday thru Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

University of Arkansas campus
