Science Café to Focus on Nanotechnology for Feb. 12 Event
Nano is all around us – in nature and in technology, but many people might not know that, when things get smaller, they can act in surprising ways. University of Arkansas scientists are working to understand these phenomena as well as the ethical applications of nanotechnology in everyday life.
“Macro, Micro, Nano: What’s the Big Deal?” is the topic of the UA Science Café set for 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Powerhouse restaurant in Fayetteville. The event is open to the public.
Presenters will be Greg Salamo, Distinguished Professor of physics, and Rob Sleezer, post-doctoral fellow, department of physics, University of Arkansas.
