Margulis Duo to Perform on Campus
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Internationally acclaimed musical siblings, Jura and Alissa Margulis, will perform in concert at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall at the University of Arkansas Fine Arts Center.
The concert is free and the public is welcome. A reception will follow the concert.
Jura Margulis, McAllister Professor of Piano in the music department at the University of Arkansas, recorded a CD of Franz Liszt piano and violin duets with his sister in 2011, and both musicians have performed on concert stages around the world.
Their program in Fayetteville will consist of piano and violin duets by Beethoven, Brahms and Liszt.
The concert is sponsored by the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences.
