Log-In Simplified Using UARK Central Login

IT Services is expanding the use of UARK Central Login to increase security and make university applications easier to use.

UARK Central Login simplifies logging into university applications by requiring users to enter their username and password only once. Users remain logged in until they quit their browser, and can access any supported application, such as UARK Gmail and DropboxIT, without a second login. UARK Central Login helps prevent phishing attacks, protects UARK account information, and is compliant with legislative standards.

As a member of the InCommon Federation, operated by Internet2, UARK Central Login also provides users with single sign-on to Web resources and applications off campus. A University of Arkansas user can be granted access to resources at a member institution using a UARK username and password. Member institutions of the InCommon Federation control their users’ identities, and applications retain the final say over who has access. Currently, University of Arkansas users can access research.gov using UARK Central Login.

UARK Central Login also makes it possible to share University of Arkansas authenticated resources with users from other InCommon Federation member institutions.
