Thailand Professor to Present Food Science Seminar

Onanong Naivikul, an instructor and researcher at the department of food science and technology, faculty of agro-industry, at Kasetsart University in Bangkok, Thailand, will present "Research and Development of Rice-based Products in Thailand" on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 1 p.m. in Room D-2 of the Food Science Building, 2650 N. Young Ave.

Naivikul received her Ph.D. in cereal technology from North Dakota State University in 1977 and began her teaching career in the same year at Kasetsart University. She has written books in Thai about Bakery Technology, Wheat: Science and Technology and Rice: Science and Technology. Her research focuses on various cereals, tubers, legumes and rice utilizations. She shares her staff's knowledge by publications both in Thai and English in more than 100 papers.
