Engineering Professor Named Associate Editor of International Journal

Ed Pohl, associate professor of industrial engineering, has been selected to serve as associate editor of Quality Technology & Quantitative Management. QTQM is an international refereed journal that publishes articles in the fields of industrial engineering, operations research, management science and statistics.

“Dr. Pohl's appointment as associate editor of QTQM is a statement of his stature in the quality and reliability research community,” said Kim Needy, head of the industrial engineering department. “I am extremely proud of him and pleased, as this new assignment will bring great visibility to our industrial engineering program.”

Pohl has been with the university since 2004. His research focuses on reliability and maintainability modeling, supply chain optimization and risk analysis with applications in national security and health care. Pohl is also an associate editor for the Journal of Risk and Reliability and the Journal of Military Operations Research.  He also serves as the director of distance education in the College of Engineering.
