Take a Classical Music Cruise on the Blue Danube With Razorbacks on Tour

Through the Arkansas Alumni Association's Razorbacks on Tour program, experience the exciting centers of music in some of Europe’s greatest cities that inspired the musical genius of Mozart, Beethoven and Strauss.

The dates for Symphony on the Blue Danube: A Classical Music Cruise are Sept. 19 through Oct. 1. This tour will be hosted by Graham Stewart, executive director of the Arkansas Alumni Association, and his wife, Tina.

Visit six countries and up to eight UNESCO World Heritage sites on this specially crafted 13-day music-themed journey showcasing Prague and Kraków and a five-night river cruise on the legendary Blue Danube through the stunning Wachau Valley aboard the deluxe M.S. Amadeus Elegant. A Budapest Pre-Program Option and Warsaw Post-Program Option are offered.

Graham Stewart, executive director, is also an accomplished vocalist and trombonist. A graduate of Ithaca College (NY), with a vocal performance degree, he has performed in Asia and the United States as a member of the Grammy-award-winning vocal ensemble, the Gregg Smith Singers, and has sung more than 20 lead roles with professional opera and musical theatre companies. Most recently he has sung and played trombone with jazz ensembles and at jazz festivals in New York and Ohio.

Tina Stewart is also a graduate of Ithaca College, N.Y., where she received a degree in vocal performance. Her 25-year career includes many lead roles with Glimmerglass Opera, Aspen Opera Theatre, Tri-cities Opera (New York), and Pittsburgh Opera. She was a multiple prize winner of singing competitions, including being named a Metropolitan Opera National Finalist in the mid-1980s, and her extensive private teaching experience included appointments at Ithaca College and Cornell University.
