Tompkins to Speak at Supply Chain Conference

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Supply Chain Management Research Center in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas will host its 12th annual conference on Thursday, April 11. This year’s conference, “Supply Chains 2020: Collaborating to Win in an Omni-Channel World,” will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development. 

The 2013 conference focuses on the changes within supply chain management today and opportunities for collaboration in order to succeed in future supply chains. 

A keynote address by James A. Tompkins, president and chief executive officer of Tompkins International, will open the conference. His presentation, “Taking Supply Chains Beyond the Crossroads,” will be followed by speakers and panelists representing the multichannel supply chain from Walmart, Kimberly-Clark, J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc., FedEx Services and more. The afternoon sessions will include a panel on collaboration, followed by break-out sessions for discussion and collaboration across various supply chain channels.
