Miller Elected President of Eastern Educational Research Association

Michael T. Miller, University of Arkansas professor of higher education in the College of Education and Health Professions, was recently elected president of the Eastern Educational Research Association.
The association, which was founded in 1977, is an affiliate of the American Educational Research Association and has more than 500 members from higher education institutions from Maine to Florida.
Miller was nominated to run in the presidential election by David Shannon, a former president of the association and a professor of educational psychology at Auburn.
“Mike has been a member of EERA since 1992, has served on the Board of Directors, served a four-year term as editor of the Journal of Research in Education, and has the skills, capacity and energy to be a great leader for our association,” Shannon wrote.
Miller will serve a term as president-elect during which he will organize next year’s annual conference in Jacksonville, Fla., and will then assume the presidency for a two-year term
