Teacher Licensing Meetings Set for April 23, April 24, May 3

Today, April 23, is the first chance for University of Arkansas students doing teaching internships in the upcoming year to attend a mandatory meeting to pick up their teacher licensing packet.

Students who are entering the M.A.T. program this summer, which includes all childhood education and secondary education majors, must attend a meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, in room 166 (the auditorium) of the Graduate Education Building.

Students who will complete a teaching internship this fall or next spring must attend a meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, in room 166 (the auditorium) of the Graduate Education Building. This includes students majoring in kinesiology, agriculture education, art education, music education, family and consumer sciences education, business education, technology education and elementary education majors in the four-year licensure program.

Students who are not able to attend meetings on April 23 or April 24 may attend a meeting at 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 3, also in the Graduate Education Building auditorium.

A fourth meeting in the summer will be held for students at the Global Campus in Rogers.

These meetings are mandatory and will be the only opportunity to pick up an Arkansas teacher licensing packet. They are expected to last two hours. Please bring a black pen. For more information, contact Kathy Malstrom at kkmalst@uark.edu.
