Human Resources Requests Nominations for Focus Group Members

University of Arkansas Human Resources is committed to consistently providing excellent service to our employees, so the Human Resources staff members are very grateful for the feedback received from over 800 faculty and staff on the 2013 HR Effectiveness Survey. A summary of the responses may be viewed at http://hr.uark.edu/820.aspx.

The survey data and common themes in the comments are helping HR staff identify gaps in their service and develop plans to address those gaps. The priority areas they are addressing immediately:

  • Improving the HR website to be a better source of communication
  • Expanding Human Resources training and offering the training at no charge
  • Setting standards for HR staff to acknowledge or respond to inquiries within one business day
  • Increasing awareness of programs and services that received high response rates in the “Neutral” or “Don’t Know” areas.

As part of the planning process, Human Resources staff are requesting nominations of individuals to serve on focus groups to provide them with more specific information on how to improve communication through our HR website and to help them identify strategies to better serve their employees and the community.

The target audience for the focus groups is faculty, staff, student employees, spouses or partners, and applicants who are familiar with Human Resources services and the HR website. If you wish to nominate someone to serve on a focus group or would like to participate yourself, please click here to complete information by May 3.

Selected nominees will be invited to participate in focus groups that will be scheduled after the end of the semester. If you have any questions, please contact Debbie McLoud at dmcloud@uark.edu or 479-575-8625.

Many thanks for the feedback!
