Arkansas Club Sports Players Take Home The Hammies

The University Recreation Club Sports program hosted the 2013 ACS Awards on April 25 at the Alumni House recognizing the efforts of more than 1,000 student club athletes. In total, six awards were handed out as well as $1,000 to winning clubs.

The Hammies went to:

  • Most Valuable Club (MVC): Triathlon
  • Most Valuable Officer (MVO): Shawn Hohendorf, Men’s Soccer
  • Most Valuable Player (MVP): Kendal Blanzy, Women’s Volleyball
  • Most Valuable Volunteer (MVV): Jason Corral, Women’s Lacrosse
  • Outstanding Community Service Club of the Year: Men’s Soccer
  • Outstanding Academic Club of the Year: Cricket

Additionally, the 2012-13 Club Sport Advisory Council members were recognized for all of their efforts:

  • Shawn Hohendorf, Men’s Soccer
  • Maggie Pickhardt, Triathlon
  • Trent Ritchie, Men’s Ice Hockey
  • Chris Fields, Tennis
  • Laurelyn Ramoly, Ballroom Dance
  • Trey Toller, Men’s Lacrosse
  • Nate Hines, Men’s Rugby
