Matthew A. Waller, Garrison Endowed Chair in Supply Chain Management and professor in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, received the award for consumer goods excellence at the Global Supply Chain Leaders on Demand Summit 2013 in Atlanta, Ga.

Tim Sensenig, chairman of Gray Peaks Inc., announced the winners and presented the awards at a dinner following the first day of the inaugural Global SCM Leaders on Demand Summit.

“On behalf of Global Supply Chain Leaders on Demand, I would like to congratulate all the winners of this year’s awards,” Sensenig said. “It was pleasing to see an increase in the number of entries, especially international, and the continuing commitment of senior supply chain executives to the group, sharing expertise and achievements. The judges had to deliberate long and hard to finalize the shortlists because of the very high standard of entries received.”

Others recognized at the meeting were Peter Ford, chief executive officer of the Port of Salalah, Oman, as Transformation and Innovation Leader of the Year; Bruce Richardson, senior vice president and chief enterprise strategist of Salesforce.com as Supply Chain Strategy Leadership of the Year; and Stephen F. Dean, senior vice president of sales and marketing solutions at Ryder System, Inc., for Supply Chain Excellence of the Year.
