"I'm thrilled to welcome Lora to this new role," said Dean of Libraries Carolyn Henderson Allen. "She brings years of leadership experience and a wealth of knowledge to the position. Her expertise and passion for public service are critical to our continued growth and pursuit of recognition as one of the nation's top 50 public research universities."

Prior to that, Lennertz Jetton served the Libraries as the preservation librarian and music librarian, the head of the circulation and audiovisual services department, and the head of the access services department. In that time, she was instrumental in managing and securing funding for a large folk music digitization project, developing a materials preservation program, implementing the Innovative Interfaces integrated library system, installing the library security system, planning for new construction and renovation, and creating training videos and instruction technology applications. Lennertz Jetton's previous experience includes library positions at the University of Illinois and the University of Louisville.

Lennertz Jetton has extensive involvement in professional development organizations including the American Library Association and the Music Library Association. She has served on many campus committees, including the NCAA Self Study committees and the Committee on Committees. She has published and presented extensively on instruction tools and technology. She was promoted to Librarian in 2011.

As the director for academic and research services, Lennertz Jetton guides the activities of the Academic and Research Services Division, which is comprised of Access Services, Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery, Reference, Research Services and Instruction, Performing Arts and Media Departments and the Chemistry and Biochemistry, Fine Arts, and Physics Libraries.

"I am very happy to serve the Libraries in my new role," said Lennertz Jetton. "I look forward to working with my colleagues to continue to provide quality library services to the campus community."
