Free Counseling Through the Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a benefit provided by your employer. Your employer contracts with EAP as a result of commitment to the well being of valued employees. EAP provides counseling, information and referral (if indicated) for employees and their immediate family members. This also includes all graduate assistants and their family members. EAP’s are ideal for individuals and families experiencing personal distress, or simply seeking to improve health or well being. EAP provides short term; solution focused counseling which is free and confidential. We have both male and female counselors as well as evening hours. The EAP office is located on 300 N. College Avenue, suite 201 E. Learn more about the EAP by going to eap.uams.edu. They are only a call away.

Members of the Employee Assistance Program would also like the opportunity to attend any staff or faculty meetings just to take a few minutes to remind employees about services available through the EAP. Please call at 1-800-542-6021 or email Mike Huddleston at huddlestonjohnm@uams.edu if you would like EAP staff to attend any of your meetings.
