FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Kathy Deck, director of the Center for Business and Economic Research, will present her regular Quarterly Business Analysis as a luncheon event on Thursday, Sept. 12.

Deck’s popular sessions feature business highlights of the previous quarter, key economic trends and projections and immediate and long-term issues facing the regional and state economy.

The event will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development on the University of Arkansas campus at 145 N. Buchanan, Fayetteville. The Quarterly Business Analysis luncheon is a partnership between the Center for Business and Economic Research in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas and the Northwest Arkansas Chambers of Commerce. The previous luncheon was held in Benton County, so this quarter’s luncheon is being held in Washington County to allow the most access for the region’s leaders.

“This luncheon event will provide an opportunity to review the region’s economic progress in 2013 and to project conditions in early 2014,” Deck said. “As we move into the last part of the year, business leaders need to position themselves for success, and the data we present will help them do so.”

The purpose of the Quarterly Business Analysis program is to build networks of leaders from business, academic and governmental sectors in the region. The goal is solid and sustainable economic development in Arkansas. “The Quarterly Business Analysis program is designed to help our community leaders make better informed decisions,” Deck said.

The program will last for approximately 60 minutes, including time for questions and answers. The cost for the Quarterly Business Analysis program and luncheon is $40. Preregistration by Monday, Sept 9, is required. Reservations can be made online for the luncheon at cber.uark.edu or by calling 479-575-4151.
