Starting on Tuesday, Sept. 3, University of Arkansas students, faculty and staff can take advantage of extended evening hours at the Primary Medical Clinic until 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

After receiving patient feedback and data collected in the annual student poll, staff at the Pat Walker Health Center determined that offering evening hours will increase the accessibility to primary medical care for Arkansas students, faculty and staff.

"The University of Arkansas community is fortunate to have a team of excellent primary care physicians and nurse practitioners at a convenient location with increased access for medical care this academic year," said Mary Alice Serafini, assistant vice provost for student affairs and executive director of the Pat Walker Health Center.

Easily make an appointment by calling 479-575-4451 at the Primary Medical Clinic, often available the same or next day. Appointments can be scheduled to start as late as 6:15 p.m. during the Tuesday – Thursday evening hours.

The Primary Medical Clinic's hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Friday; 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

As always, a student's office visit is covered in the student health fee. Additional charges apply for laboratory tests, X-rays, supplies and procedures.
