FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – September is filled with events inviting students, faculty, staff and the community to reconnect with the world of art. The department of art in the J. The Fine Arts Center Gallery will present Resplendent beginning Monday, Sept. 9. The exhibition, featuring Ben Butler, Beatriz Milhazes, Howard Paine, James Siena and Susanna Starr will close Friday, Oct. 11.

Also beginning Sept. 9, ceramic sculpture will be featured in the Fine Arts Center hallway exhibition cases. Pieces by visiting artist Kate Blacklock as well as works by university students and faculty will be on display through Sept. 27. Blacklock will give a lecture at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, in room 213 of the Fine Arts Center. The lecture will follow a 5 p.m. reception for the artist outside the Fine Arts Center Gallery.
