Build Language Skills With Certificate Program from Global Engagement Office, University Libraries
The University Libraries and the global engagement office in the Sam M. Walton College of Business invite Walton College students to participate in a new Certificate of Completion Program for the Mango Language Learning Tool. Mango gives students an opportunity to develop language skills through listening, reading and speaking activities in the language of their choice.
The program is ideal for students planning to study abroad. The program requires students to complete all of the lessons in a given language, spend a minimum of 15 hours learning a language using the Mango database, and complete an informational survey.
Mango offers step-by-step web tutorials for dozens of different languages, including Arabic, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), Farsi, French, Haitian Creole, Hawaiian, Hebrew, Hindi, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese and many more. Mango uses conversational settings and real-life situations to make learning easy and fun. Choose basic level for simple, practical skills for common conversation or choose the complete level for in-depth and comprehensive language and grammar skills. Mango also offers mobile apps for iPhone, iPad and Android.
