Pincus Named One of Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting for 2013
Karen Pincus, professor of accounting at the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas, was named one of the 100 most influential people in accounting for 2013.
The Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting 2013 list is published annually by Accounting Today magazine. Members are chosen by a vote of a panel of experts in the field. Pincus was also named to the list in 2006. She completed a one-year term as president of the American Accounting Association in August 2013.
Pincus holds the Doyle Z. and Maynette Derr Williams Chair in Professional Accounting at the Walton College and formerly served as chair of the accounting department.
Pincus earned her bachelor of science, master of business administration and doctoral degrees in accounting from the University of Maryland. Before joining the Walton College in 1995, she was on the faculty of the school of accounting at the University of Southern California.
