Stop by the University of Arkansas Bookstore, located at 616 N. Garland Avenue, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today to celebrate National Student Day. The Bookstore will have free food available to celebrate the third annual National Student Day event.

The purpose of National Student Day is to celebrate and promote social responsibility by college students! Students are encouraged to share stories on how they volunteer and give back to their community for a chance to win prizes. If you would like to be entered into the competition for your chance to win simply create a login to register at nationalstudentday.com/students, and post an example of how you give back to your community. You can submit text, photos, drawings, or video. Then urge your friends to vote for you. Spread the word via YouTube, Facebook and Twitter to capture the most votes and win!

The three most popular stories of student volunteerism will win scholarships from the National Association of College Stores in the amounts of $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000; 12 additional stories will be selected at random to win iPad minis.
