Watkins to Speak to Supply Chain Management Class

Don Watkins, a fellow at the Ayn Rand Center for Individual Rights and columnist for Forbes.com, will speak to the Capitalism and Global Supply Chains class at the University of Arkansas on Nov. 20.

Watkins, along with Yaron Brook, co-authored the national best seller “Free Market Revolution: How Ayn Rand’s Ideas Can End Big Government.” Besides writing for Forbes.com, his op-eds have appeared in news outlets such as The Guardian, Investor’s Business Daily, USA Today and Forbes magazine.

The supply chain management department at the University of Arkansas will host Watkins at 3:05 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, in room 244 in the Business Building. The class is taught by Wes Kemp, executive in residence in supply chain management and former chief executive officer at ABF Freight System, alongside Jason Arentz, an adjunct instructor for the course.

Watkins holds specialties in economics, financial crisis, capitalism and income inequality. He currently serves as a fellow for the Ayn Rand Center for Individual Rights, a nonprofit organization that works to introduce young people to Ayn Rand’s novels while supporting research and scholarship based on her ideas.
