Diwali Banquet Ticket

It's that time of the year again!! Song, dance, dinners and tonnes of festivities that just calls for an evening of pleasure and you are all invited. The Diwali Festival of Lights will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, in the Verizon Ballroom of the Arkansas Union.

Diwali, or Dipawali, is India's biggest and most important holiday of the year. The festival gets its name from the row (avali) of clay lamps (or deepa) that Indians light outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects us from spiritual darkness.

This Festival of Lights is also a time of bonding and kinship celebrated across India. Participants dress in their traditional best and share sweets and gifts among family and friends.

This year we bring to you a fusion of cultural sights and sounds live on stage at the banquet. Don't miss out on this must-see event hosted by the Friends of India.

This event is organized by the Friends of India registered student organization with support from the Associated Student Government through the office of student activities and funded by the student activity fee.
