Walton College Rated Top 10 for Career Support for Students
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The website Graduateprograms.com has recognized the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas as a top 10 business graduate program for career support for its students.
Walton College was ranked ninth, rated by students voting on the website, with 9.39 stars out of 10. Other schools in the Graduateprograms.com top 10 were Drexel University, Wake Forest, New Mexico, Texas, Ohio State, Penn State, North Carolina, Rice and Dartmouth.
Last spring, U.S. News & World Report’s 2014 Best Graduate Schools ranked the full-time Walton M.B.A. program as No. 1 in the nation for the number of full-time Master of Business Administration graduates employed at graduation – an impressive 90.5 percent.
Graduateprograms.com said it came up with its rankings by compiling 40,000 ratings posted by students attending more than 1,200 different graduate business programs across the country. The rankings, amassed between Sept. 1, 2012, and Sept. 30, 2013, are based solely on student ratings and reviews posted on Graduateprograms.com using a 10 star system, with 1 being the worst and 10 being the best.
Graduateprograms.com assigns 15 ranking categories to each graduate program at each graduate school. Rankings cover a variety of student topics, such as academic competitiveness, career support, financial aid and quality of network. Current students and recent graduates can review their programs at the site and qualify for a $1,000 scholarship that is awarded once a semester. The site also uses social media to encourage students to rate programs.
