2014 Winter Teaching Symposium Scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 9

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The 2014 Winter Teaching Symposium is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 9, in the Arkansas Union Verizon Ballroom. All U of A faculty are invited to attend.

There will be a continental breakfast beginning at 8 a.m.  Chancellor Gearhart will open the program with a welcome at 8:20 a.m.  The session topics will include Can You Ever Really Fail Reaccreditation? with Vice Provost Ro Di Brezzo and Process of Learning with Mark Boyer.  Breakout session topics will include: Pen & Paper/iPad/Smart Phone; A Look at Capstone Experiences; Freshman Courses; Course Design; Process of Learning, Probing Deeper; and Online Course Development – How do I Get Started?
