The spring Senate and Secretary vacancy elections run through 4 p.m. today, Jan. 29. Students elected to fill the vacant senate and secretary positions will hold office through the end of spring term 2014.

All University of Arkansas students are eligible to vote via vote.uark.edu or paper ballot in the office of student activities, Arkansas Union A665.

Amy May West, chair of the Senate, encourages every student to vote: “As student leaders at Arkansas, we need to create a strong representative body which recognizes its obligation to uphold tradition while vigilantly looking for opportunities to improve our campus. Creating this body begins with students making the choice to get involved in ASG.”

Students can read candidate’s platform statements at asg.uark.edu. Three At-Large Senate positions are vacant.

The Associated Student Government Senate meets every Tuesday starting at 6 p.m. in the Graduate Education Building Auditorium.

For more any questions on the voting process, please contact the Associated Student government as asg@uark.edu or call 479-575-5255.
