Georgetown Professor to Give Lecture on Hiring Teachers

Peter Hinrichs, assistant professor at the Georgetown Public Policy Institute, will give a lecture about hiring teachers at noon Friday, March 7, on the University of Arkansas campus.
Hinrichs’ lecture is titled “What Kind of Teachers Are Schools Looking For? Evidence from a Randomized Field Experiment.” His research interests fall under the area of applied microeconomics and, more specifically, the economics of education. He is currently working on a study of the extent of racial segregation in higher education and a study about teacher labor markets.
The lecture is part of the series sponsored by the department of education reform and is free and open to the public. It starts at noon in Room 343 of the Graduate Education Building, and RSVP is requested for a light lunch. RSVP online by 1 p.m. March 5.
