Rosa and Robert Ainley

Hard work and dedication must run in the family because both Rosa Ainley and her son, Robert Ainley, were both recently recognized by the University of Arkansas as Employees of the Quarter.

Rosa Ainley, whose award was presented on behalf of the Sam M. Walton College of Business, works as a computer support specialist. Walton College staff say that the work she has done exemplifies superior customer service, enhances people’s image of the college, and demonstrates the importance of going above and beyond one’s job description.

Robert Ainley, Rosa’s son, was named Employee of the Quarter for the entire university. Robert is a staff member in the Veteran’s Resource Information Center and works with student veterans who are transitioning from the military into the University of Arkansas.

“I provide students with the information they need to successfully be admitted into the university. In addition, I also help them with using their VA benefits, and provide resources, advice, and continuous guidance throughout their academic careers,” Robert said. “The best part of my job is speaking with veterans and helping them obtain their goal of a college degree. If there is something I can do to assist them, I will do it.”

This dedication and willingness to help veterans succeed makes Robert the perfect recipient of the Employee of the Quarter Award. Rosa Ainley and her son Robert are both perfect examples of how hard work, dedication, and commitment to students’ success is making the university an all-around better place.
