Langsner Named to World Leisure Organization Committee
Steve Langsner
Steve Langsner, University of Arkansas associate professor of recreation and sport management, has been named to the Steering Committee of the World Leisure Organization’s Commission on Leisure Education.
World Leisure is a worldwide, non-governmental association founded in 1952. It is made up of people and organizations dedicated to discovering and fostering those conditions that best permit leisure to serve as a force for human growth, development and well-being.
This year’s World Leisure Congress is scheduled to take place in Mobile, Ala., in September. The Steering Committee is involved in planning the leisure education portion of the World Congress.
Langsner joined the faculty of the College of Education and Health Professions in 1989. He served as assistant dean for academic affairs in the college from July 2004 through June 2009.
