Research Office to Host NSF CAREER Award Writing Workshop
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The office of vice provost for research and economic development is set to host a workshop for those preparing 2014 proposals for National Science Foundation Early Career Development Program awards.
The workshop is scheduled for 1:30-4:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 10, in the West Room in Carnall Hall.
The CAREER program serves a critical role in NSF efforts to identify, foster and support the nation's most promising junior faculty in both research and education. The workshop is designed to enable the university's junior faculty to compete successfully for the awards.
The benefits of attending the workshop include:
- An overview of the CAREER program
- A lesson on the anatomy of a project summary
- A mock panel session with experienced NSF panelists and UA CAREER awardees
- One-on-one discussions of your project and a review of your project summary with an experienced NSF reviewer
A reception recognizing the university's NSF CAREER recipients will follow.
