Libraries' Film Festival Concludes Tonight With 'The Skin I Live In'

The last film in the spring film series hosted by the University of Arkansas Libraries, The Skin I Live In (La piel que habito, Spain, 2011), will be shown tonight at 7 p.m. in Mullins Library 104.  Admission is free and open to the public.

Plastic surgeon Robert Ledgard (Antonio Banderas) creates a synthetic skin resistant to burns and other injuries to exact revenge on his daughter’s assailant. Directed by Pedro Almodóvar; co-written by Almodóvar and Agustín Almodóvar; also starring Elena Anaya and Marisa Paredes; based on the novel Tarantula by Thierry Jonquet.

The spring film series hosted by the Libraries featured four foreign language films on the theme of crazy love. "Amour Fou in February" featured French New Wave films, and "Amor Loco in April" features two films from Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar.
