FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The department of drama in the J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences will soon be called the department of theatre. As a result of the department name change, courses will be listed in ISIS under THTR instead of DRAM.

Students registering for classes for May Intersession 2014, Summer 2014 and August Intersession 2014 will still find classes listed under course subject DRAM. Students registering for classes for Fall 2014 will find them under course subject THTR.

“In an effort to more clearly reflect what we do as a training program, we are happy to announce that we will be the ‘department of theatre’ as of fall 2014,” said Michael Riha, chair of the department. “This subtle, yet important shift from the department of drama to the department of theatre more closely reflects and articulates the work we do as an academic unit and production-centered program.”

The course numbers, descriptions and content will remain the same. Only the four-letter code at the beginning of the Course ID will change.
