Kidswrite, the annual summer writing camp hosted by the Northwest Arkansas Writing Project at the University of Arkansas, will take place this year June 16-27 at the Fayetteville Public Library.

Students entering the fifth through eighth grades this fall can register online for the 10-day camp. Cost is $175. Space is limited to the first 20 participants. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays.

Kidswrite aims to help young writers grow in their process and become a community of young authors. Participants will take inspiration walks, hear guest speakers, participate in peer revision groups and learn about publishing their work. Their work will be published in the Fayetteville Public Library's literary magazine.

The department of curriculum and instruction in the College of Education and Health Professions co-sponsors the camp. It is directed by teacher-consultants of the Northwest Arkansas Writing Project.
