Poultry Science Department Nets More Than $20,000 for Scholarships With Golf Tournament

SPRINGDALE, Ark. – Thirty-six teams netted more than $20,000 for scholarships during the annual University of Arkansas Poultry Science Scholarship Golf Tournament April 22 at Springdale Country Club.

The major sponsor for the tournament was Cobb-Vantress Inc., which provided funding for a flight sponsorship. Hole sponsors this year were Bayer Animal Health, F.P.E.C., Hubbard, AB Vista and Jamesway Incubators.

Arkansas Farm Bureau, InTents and Simmons Prepared Foods also donated to the tournament.

Since the poultry tournament started 14 years ago, more than $250,000 has been raised through this event for scholarships in the department.
