Type II Diabetic Males Sought for Research; Compensation Is $200
Do you have type II diabetes and would like to know more about your glucose regulation? Male subjects are requested for a new study with $200 compensation paid upon completion.
The University of Arkansas is now enrolling for a new study with the goal of determining the effects of hydration on glucose regulation and vascular compliance. The study will take place over three weeks and require that you visit the Human Performance Laboratory on four occasions for a total of about 9 hours.
Participants will receive a personal nutritional analysis, body composition determination by a DEXA scan, knowledge of your personal glucose regulation and venous compliance, and $200 compensation.

This study is conducted under the direction of Stavros Kavouras, associate professor of exercise science in the College of Education and Health Professions. The protocol has been approved by the University of Arkansas Institutional Review Board for human subjects in research.
