Tax Free Weekend at the U of A Bookstore

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University of Arkansas Bookstore, its shops at the Garland Center, and all of its Razorback Shops will observe the Arkansas “sales tax holiday” on Saturday, Aug. 2, and Sunday, Aug. 3.

State and local sales tax will not be collected during this 48-hour period on:

  • School supplies
  • School art supplies
  • School instructional materials
  • Clothing and footwear priced under $100 per item
  • Clothing accessories and equipment priced under $50 per item
  • Cosmetics

The University of Arkansas Bookstore Shops in the Garland Center, as well as the Bookstore’s Razorback Shops in the Northwest Arkansas Mall, Pinnacle Hills Promenade, and Arkansas Student Union will all be open and fully stocked for the event.
