Autodesk Software Licenses Free Now for Faculty and Students

FAYETTEVILLE -- Starting July 1 licenses for Autodesk Education Master Suite and Autodesk Entertainment Creation Suite Ultimate became available free to faculty and students for purposes directly related to learning, teaching, training, research or development.

Information on installing free Autodesk products for university-owned and personal devices is available at http://its.uark.edu/software/autodesk. Autodesk products under this license may not be used for commercial, professional or any other for-profit purposes.

Autodesk is available in General Access Computing Labs on campus, but will no longer be available at vlab.uark.edu due to licensing restrictions. Staff and other non-eligible users can download free trials of Autodesk software or purchase on a pay-as-you-go basis (http://www.autodesk.com/free-trials).

Autodesk licenses purchased from IT Services will expire on July 26, 2014, and Autodesk can no longer be purchased or renewed through IT Services. Faculty can request assistance moving to the new Autodesk license from their department tech partner (http://its.uark.edu/help/fac-staff).
