Portions of Maple Street Closed Weekdays for Resurfacing

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – City of Fayetteville street crews will begin the asphalt resurfacing of Maple Street on Wednesday, July 30. Both lanes of Maple Street will be closed to traffic from Gregg Avenue to Leverett Avenue. The street will be re-opened to traffic each evening and over the weekend.

Resurfacing is planned to start on the section of Maple Street. between Leverett Avenue and Garland Avenue on either Monday, Aug. 4 or Tuesday, Aug. 5. The entire resurfacing project is expected to be complete by Friday, Aug. 8. The street will be re-opened to traffic each evening.

Restriping of the street will likely take place the following week, but is not expected to require Maple Street to be closed to traffic.
