Graduate Education Building

The elevator in the Graduate Education Building on the University of Arkansas campus is temporarily out of order. Officials with the College of Education and Health Professions said the elevator is expected to be operational Oct. 11.

The Graduate Education Building, an orange brick structure on Maple Street, has three floors and a basement entrance.

The building houses the college’s dean’s office and other administrative offices, as well as classrooms, computer laboratories and faculty and staff offices. The college has been working with the registrar’s office and the Center for Educational Access to accommodate students who are not able to navigate stairs as well as faculty and staff who need assistance.

The elevator quit working in June because of flooding in the basement of the building.
