Marshall Scholarships fund graduate study at any institution in the United Kingdom. The Fulbright Scholarship offers either one year of research or one year of teaching English in one of over 140 participating countries around the world. University of Arkansas students have had excellent success with these prestigious awards.

Last year, Mike Norton earned a Marshall Scholarship, and both Norton and Rachael Pellegrino were named Rhodes Finalists. Mariel Williams, an anthropology major, received the Gates Cambridge in 2012. In addition, 5 U of A students were awarded Fulbright Scholarships; Anne Greeott and Vena Romero earned Fulbright Research Grants, while Courtney Hill, Karsten Powers, and Rachael Schaffner were awarded Fulbright English Teaching Assistantships.
