University Recreation to Challenge Texas A&M During Celebrate Cycle

University Recreation will challenge Texas A&M’s group cycle class the week of Sept. 22 to see which school can log the most miles before the game in Dallas. Interested participants simply need to attend any of UREC’s regularly scheduled Group Cycle or Cycle Express classes during the weeklong Celebrate Cycle event. 

Group Cycle classes are set to music and led by a certified instructor. It is a cardiovascular workout that is done on a specialized stationary bike on which the tension can be increased and decreased by the participant while the instructor leads and motivates the participants throughout the class.

University Recreation offers twelve Group Cycle classes throughout the week on their Group Fitness schedule. Classes are free to students, faculty and staff with a UREC membership. 

“Group Cycle is great for all fitness levels. Participants control everything from their speed and resistance to their intensity level, so it can be as easy or as challenging as they want.,” said Jade Dworkin, University Recreation, Fitness Wellness Graduate Assistant.
