“Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.” C.S. Lewis

Academic Initiatives and Integrity is hosting its second annual Integrity Awareness Week, Sept. 22-26. Monica Holland, executive director of Academic Initiatives and Integrity, said, “We envision this to be bigger and better moving forward and for this to be a tradition on this campus.”

The event will include 18 presentations and panel discussions that will explore ethical issues and the meaning of integrity from various perspectives. All sessions are open to students, faculty and staff.

Participating colleges and departments include:

  • Associated Student Government
  • College of Education and Health Professions
  • Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences
  • Division of Student Affairs
  • Global Campus
  • International Students and Scholars
  • Office for Faculty Enhancement and Development
  • Office of the Dean of Students
  • Sam M. Walton College of Business
  • Teaching Faculty and Support Center
  • University Libraries

“Integrity isn’t just a student’s value or issue, or a faculty or staff value or issue. It’s really a community … and that’s why we want to have everyone a part of the discussion and events,” says Holland.
