'An Evening With Bill Nye' Set for Barnhill Arena

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Bill Nye — known to a generation of young people and their parents as “the Science Guy” — will present the first of this year’s student Distinguished Lectures at the University of Arkansas.
“An Evening with Bill Nye” will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, in Barnhill Arena. The event is free and the public is welcome. No tickets are required, and seating is on a first come basis.
Free public parking is available after 5 p.m. in Lot 44, north of the Broyles Athletic Complex, and Lot 72, on the west side of Razorback Road., across from Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
Bill Nye is a scientist, educator, television personality, engineer, comedian, author and inventor, and he is on a self-proclaimed mission to help people everywhere understand and appreciate science.
The Distinguished Lecture Series is a student-sponsored program. Speakers are chosen by a committee of students, faculty and staff, and the events are funded by a student-approved fee, appropriated by the Programs Allocation Board.
