Registered student organizations may nominate candidates for the Homecoming Court through noon on Wednesday, Sept. 24. Homecoming Queen’s Court is open to all University of Arkansas women nominated by a registered student organization and Male Homecoming Court is open to all University of Arkansas men nominated by a registered student organization.

The 2014 Homecoming Queen’s Court applications will be reviewed and the top 20 applicants will be notified on Monday, Sept. 29. These 20 women will be asked to sign up for a slot in the interview process. Interviews will be conducted Oct. 1 and Oct. 2 in the Arkansas Union. The top 10 women will be notified on Oct. 3 and will participate in a second round of interviews on Oct. 7 and Oct. 8.

The 2014 Homecoming Queen’s Court will be announced on Friday, Oct. 10, at the third annual Chancellor’s Ball held at the Fayetteville Town Center. Elections for Homecoming Queen will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 9 a.m. through Friday, Oct. 17, at 4 p.m. on vote.uark.edu. The Queen will be announced at the Homecoming pep rally on Friday, Oct. 24.

The 2014 Male Homecoming Court applications are also available. Interviews for the Male Homecoming Court will be conducted on Thursday, Oct. 2, and the court will be notified and publicized on Oct. 3. Male court members will be expected to attend the Chancellor’s Ball on Oct. 10 as they will be recognized with the Queen’s Court.

Homecoming Court members will participate in the Homecoming parade, Homecoming pre-game and other events during Homecoming week. “The purpose of both processes is to recognize and celebrate male and female students at the University of Arkansas who display a commitment to the Razorback community, strive for academic success, and give their time to making the campus a better place for future students throughout their college careers,” said Amy May West, ASG vice president.

Applications for both men and women must be accompanied with a resume. Applications are available online at the ASG website or in the Office of Student Activities (Arkansas Union A665). They must be returned to ARKU A665 by noon on Wednesday, Sept. 24. No late applications will be accepted.
