Doctoral Student to Discuss Balance Research Friday at HPER

Jennifer Vincenzo, a University of Arkansas doctoral student in kinesiology, will speak at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, as part of the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation Research Seminar Series. It is free and open to the public.

Her talk, titled “Postural Sway, as Measured by the Sway Balance Smart Device Application, Does Not Discriminate Between Older Persons With and Without a Fall History,” will take place in Room 316 of the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Building. Vincenzo works with Michelle Gray, assistant professor of kinesiology, in the Human Performance Laboratory and the Office for Studies on Aging.

Vincenzo is a physical therapist who has a Master of Public Health degree and is a certified health education specialist and board-certified geriatric clinical specialist in physical therapy.

The purpose of the seminar series is to expose students and faculty to research being conducted in the department. Refreshments will be served.
